Expanding Horizons: MacArtney’s New Dubai Hub
Denmark’s underwater tech powerhouse, MacArtney, is making waves in the Middle East with the launch of its brand-new Dubai office. This strategic move is part of the company’s ambitious plan to dominate the underwater technology market across the Middle East, North Africa (MENA), and India. By setting up shop in Dubai, MacArtney aims to bring its cutting-edge solutions closer to regional clients, offering faster response times and unparalleled local support.
“This isn’t just about opening an office—it’s about embedding ourselves in the region,” says Steen Frejo, MacArtney’s Sales Director. “We’re here to stay, and we’re here to grow.”
A Regional Powerhouse in the Making
The Dubai office isn’t just a standalone venture. It’s part of a broader strategy to strengthen MacArtney’s global footprint. The company has already made significant strides in the region, including the appointment of Saurabh Sharma as Regional Sales Manager for India in 2021. Now, with Kaushal Sinha stepping into the role of Sales Manager for the UAE office, MacArtney is doubling down on its commitment to the MENA region.
Sinha, who will report directly to Frejo, is tasked with driving business development and fostering stronger relationships with local clients. “I’m thrilled to bring MacArtney’s innovative solutions to the forefront of the region’s underwater tech scene,” says Sinha.
The company’s expansion plans also include leveraging its existing network of distributors to target high-potential markets like Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, South Africa, and Bangladesh.
Innovation Meets Opportunity
MacArtney’s move comes at a time when the demand for advanced underwater technology is surging. Earlier this year, the company partnered with Allseas to future-proof its remotely operated vehicle (ROV) operations. The collaboration involved replacing three hydraulic launch and recovery systems with MacArtney’s all-electric eLARS—a game-changing innovation that underscores the company’s commitment to sustainability and efficiency.
With its new Dubai office, MacArtney is poised to capitalize on the region’s growing appetite for underwater tech solutions. Whether it’s seismic exploration, offshore energy, or marine research, the company is ready to dive deep into new opportunities.
