A New Chapter in Renewable Energy

Brazil is no stranger to harnessing the power of the wind, but the latest collaboration between Auren Energia and the Nordex Group is set to take things to the next level. The energy holding company has commissioned Nordex to supply and install 19 state-of-the-art N163/5.X turbines, marking a significant step forward in the country’s renewable energy ambitions.

This 112 MW project isn’t just about generating clean energy—it’s about longevity. The deal includes a 15-year servicing agreement, with options to extend up to 30 years, ensuring the turbines remain in peak condition for decades to come.

The Cajuína Wind Complex: A Hub of Innovation

The turbines are destined for the Cajuína 3 wind farm, part of the larger Cajuína wind complex in Rio Grande do Norte. Nestled in the municipality of Lajes, this project is a testament to Brazil’s commitment to sustainable energy.

Each turbine will operate at 5.9 MW, perched atop 120-meter concrete towers designed to maximize efficiency. Installation is slated for early 2026, with commissioning expected by autumn of the same year. This isn’t Nordex’s first rodeo in the region—they’ve already delivered 120 N163/5.X turbines for the Cajuína 1 and 2 wind farms, contributing a whopping 684 MW to Brazil’s energy grid.

Why This Project Matters

The Cajuína 3 wind farm is more than just another renewable energy project—it’s a blueprint for the future. By combining cutting-edge technology with long-term maintenance strategies, Auren Energia and Nordex are setting a new standard for wind energy projects worldwide.

As the world races to meet climate goals, partnerships like this one are crucial. They not only reduce reliance on fossil fuels but also create jobs, boost local economies, and pave the way for a cleaner, greener future.
