Evolve Dynamics Debuts Foxe and Wolfe: Battle-Ready Drones Built for the Frontlines
Lightweight, Rugged, and Designed for the Chaos of Modern Warfare
At a VE Day event in Hampshire, UK, Evolve Dynamics unveiled two new military drones—Foxe and Wolfe—engineered to thrive in the harshest combat environments. These aren’t your average consumer quadcopters: they’re purpose-built for reconnaissance, resilience, and rapid deployment, with lessons hard-learned from the battlefields of Ukraine.
“These systems aren’t just tools—they’re lifelines for soldiers. Every design choice, from repairability to weather resistance, was driven by real-world needs,” said CEO Tom Redman.
The smaller of the two, Foxe, is a sub-250g hand-launched drone that punches above its weight. With a 35-minute flight time and the ability to operate in 15.5 m/s (35 mph) winds, it’s built for agility and endurance. Its IP54 rating means rain or dust won’t ground it, while frequency-hopping radios help it evade electronic warfare threats—a critical feature in contested airspace.
Wolfe, the heavier counterpart, is a sub-4kg workhorse. Boasting a 60-minute flight time and resistance to 20 m/s (45 mph) winds, it’s designed for prolonged missions in brutal conditions. Its IP55 rating ensures all-weather reliability, and its modular design allows for hot-swappable batteries and quick repairs mid-operation. Plus, its low acoustic signature makes it a stealthy observer—ideal for covert ISR (intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance).
From Ukraine to the UK: Battlefield Lessons in Design
Both drones share a DNA forged in modern conflict. Evolve Dynamics incorporated feedback from Ukrainian forces, resulting in features like field-repairable components and rapid deployment—both can be airborne in under 90 seconds. Foxe’s compact size and Wolfe’s rugged modularity reflect a clear priority: minimizing downtime when every second counts.
“British innovation isn’t just about technology—it’s about solving real problems under fire. These drones are a testament to that ethos,” Redman added.
Developed and manufactured in the UK, Foxe and Wolfe expand Evolve Dynamics’ lineup of tactical UAS (unmanned aerial systems), offering militaries scalable options for surveillance, reconnaissance, and situational awareness. With Wolfe’s extended endurance and Foxe’s portability, the duo covers a wide range of operational needs, from urban patrols to open-field reconnaissance.
As drones become indispensable on the modern battlefield, Evolve Dynamics is betting on durability, adaptability, and sheer resilience. Foxe and Wolfe aren’t just gadgets—they’re survival tools, built to keep soldiers safer and missions on track.
