Norway-headquartered TGS has filed a plan with the authorities in Guyana to acquire 2D seismic data, multi-beam data and will also drill seabed cores, writes Iain Esau.
The proposed 2D operations will cost about $11.4 million and cover almost all waters controlled by Guyana. The seismic will be acquired by the vessel BGP Challenger over a period of about five months, starting in September.
Processing is expected to take about 10 months once final data has been received.
