Europe’s First CO2 Carrier Sets Sail to Tackle Climate Change with CCS Innovation
Europes first purpose-built CO2 carrier, the Carbon Destroyer 1, has launched to transport captured emissions from industrial sites to permanent storage beneath the North Sea, marking a key step in the EUs carbon capture and storage efforts. The vessel, designed for harsh conditions, will shuttle liquefied CO2 between Denmarks Port of Esbjerg and offshore storage sites, supporting Europes climate goals.
