Qair Breaks Ground on Pioneering Hybrid Solar Power Initiative Across Africa
French renewables firm Qair has begun construction on two hybrid solar power plants in Chad, combining 15 MWp of solar generation with 4 MW/4 MWh battery storage each, potentially transforming energy access in a country where only 11% of the population has electricity. The project will create 300 construction jobs and 50 permanent roles while serving as a model for decentralized renewables in Africa.
