Sercel Australia selects Cincom solution
Cincom Systems has received a contract to provide enterprise management software and services to Sercel Australia. The contract is for a 45-user licence of Cincoms Control enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
Sercel has been a leading player globally in the seismic data acquisition industry for over 40 years, supplying the geophysical industry with a full range of high-tech integrated equipment to meet the requirements of current oil exploration projects.
Sercel recently acquired the seismic equipment business of Thales Underwater Systems. Principally located in Australia, this business includes the development and manufacturing of surface marine seismic acquisition systems, particularly solid streamers and seabed marine seismic acquisition systems.
Cincoms CONTROL is a comprehensive enterprise management solution encompassing activities including business planning, business acquisition, order management, engineering, procurement, manufacturing and re-manufacturing operations, cost management, project management, finance and aftermarket support. It allows manufacturers of high-value, complex products to configure end items according to customer specifications, manage a large volume of engineering changes, and trace material for regulatory compliance.
Manufacturers can estimate and submit formal proposals to win business, and for companies operating in a project environment segregate materials and track costs by project.
CONTROL helps manufacturers conform to increasingly stringent quality standards, deliver on schedule despite shrinking lead times, and reduce costs toward a lower price.
Unlike many ERP vendors, we have a track record for on-time, on-budget implementations, said Paul Hargreaves, managing director Cincom Australia and New Zealand. Our focus at Cincom is to provide customers with a solution that is high value, low cost and low risk, and which will provide a rapid return on their investment. We look forward to working with Sercel Australia to deliver a successful implementation.
