The UN Ocean Conference (UNOC) 2025 will take place from June 9–13, 2025, in Nice, France. Co-hosted by France and Costa Rica under the theme “Accelerating Action and Mobilizing All Actors to Conserve and Sustainably Use the Ocean,” the conference aims to support the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 14. It will feature ten plenary sessions, ten Ocean Action Panels, and a closing segment focused on adopting the “Nice Ocean Action Plan.” The event will bring together governments, NGOs, scientific communities, private sectors, Indigenous Peoples, and other stakeholders to discuss sustainable ocean development initiatives.
