Tullow Oil has awarded a contract to the multinational, Bell Geospace, the world leader in Gravity Gradiometry, to survey Zambia Block 31. This area is part of the Great Rift Valley area extension covering Lakes Tanganyika and Lake Mweru.
Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda have discovered Oil deposits in a space not so far from this area for which $3.5billion is being invested in the pipeline connect.
Tullow Oil has commenced the geospace surveys for full gravity readings over the Great Lakes region extending to Zambia’s Luapula and Northern Provinces. The survey will last 2months.
